Catching Light

Description
My photo "Catching Light" from Joshua Tree National Park. On this particulate evening, I found myself scrambling around looking for a composition, as the beautiful light was fading. At the last moment, I walked over a hill and saw this scene. The perfectly shaped Joshua Tree in the distance, and the almost mirrored shape of a Cholla cactus in the foreground just catching the fading light. I quickly threw my camera on the tripod and snapped the few images that I then focus staked to create the final product, before the light was gone. 10% of the profits from each print sold from my "The Natural World" series will be donated to the Sierra Club. The Sierra Club is America's oldest and one of the world's first large-scale environmental preservation organization, founded by John Muir in 1892.
