Perspective

Description
My photo "Perspective" was taken in The Great Sand Dunes National Park in Colorado. The weather for my short visit was cold, windy and rainy. At first I was pretty disappointed as I was looking to capture some great sunset or sunrise photos, but instead of packing up the camera discouraged, I decided to go out in the rain. I came across this scene, where the top of the dunes disappeared into the clouds. I framed the scene with white clouds on the top half and the dunes on the bottom half to give it a sense of scale. If you look closely you can see people walking on the dunes, and this gives you an even greater sense of perspective. 10% of the profits from each print sold from my "The Natural World" series will be donated to the Sierra Club. The Sierra Club is America's oldest and one of the world's first large-scale environmental preservation organization, founded by John Muir in 1892.
