Taking Flight

My photo, "Taking Flight," was taken on a dark and gloomy day on Roosevelt Island. I didn’t expect to capture anything portfolio-worthy, but at Four Freedoms Park on the south side of the island, I stumbled upon a small puddle atop the granite blocks. The puddle offered a perfect reflection of the Queensboro Bridge. As I was shooting, a seagull flew into the shot, and by pure luck and good timing, I was able to capture him in the reflection. *This photo was exhibited in: -2026 Photo Artfolio “B&W: The Poetry of Light and Shadow” online exhibit -2025 Brooklyn Waterfront Artist Coalition show, "New Yorkers Capturing Nature", in Brooklyn, New York
